Durham

Assalamualaikum,

Durham is located 10 minutes away from Newcastle Upon Tyne. It is an amazing town that will only cost us 3.70pounds for a day return ticket with railcard. Jam, Omeh, Fizah, Farid, Halim, Helda and I went there last Saturday!

The Unusual Food

Assalamualaikum,


The title says it all. After playing badminton last week at Benwell sports court Newcastle, unusual food was served at 24, Brighton Grove. Halim from london was here! He could not believe he was eating salad with Malays! LOL The usual dishes serves at Bob's Playboy Mansion will consist of meat. But the GREENS?? I hardly see it :P hahahahah anyway.. Pictures!!

The story behind this is one of the oldest people (:P) in that house was experiencing chest pain.. So we decided to consume healthy food! Hopefully, all the Bruneians living abroad will always be in good health and mind.







We had icebergs, lettuce, cherry tomato, carrots, brocolli and cauliflower with salad toppings, olive oil, mayo, lemon juice, seafood and salad cream.

B.E.G - 'Here to win'

BruNotts organised Brunei Easter Game, held last Sunday, 22nd March. We represent Bruneians student from Newcastle. Our team name is BNS (Brunei Newcastle Society). Left Newcastle at 6am and arrived at Nottingham around half past 9. The boys participated for football while the girls netball and Liyana played solo badminton. We did'nt win any for netball, mostly draws for football but Liyana got 3rd place for badminton. Yay!

We had so much fun during the event. Our team spirit made us the winning team even though we lost. BNS family bond is 'unbeatable'! Well, this is what we feel. The coolest thing was we wear the same jersey for both BNS football n netball team. We love it!

After the boys were finished with their matches, they came to support us for our last game. The cheer they made, boost our mood to enjoy the game. They cheered when we scored as if it was the 10th goal! As we said the night before the game "We come to have fun!" And we really did! When I said we lost, I really meant it. If I'm not mistaken, for all 6 games that we played, the highest we got were 2 goals while our opponent scored more than 5! At least we scored! Hehe. We actually started our practice for less than a month and I think we only had about 10 practices. For some who said they don't know how to play netball, you girls were actually good. We are not so bad after all! Thanks to the boys for helping and coaching us. We know netball is not a guy thing, but we are all bradas (brothers) aren't we? Hehe. We really appreciate all the times that you guys spent on us. Thank you bradas.

Along the journey to Nottingham, we sang many songs in the bus with guitar and on the way back we slept for half of the journey and then "sesi berbalas pantun" during the other half until we reached Brighton Grove. We enjoy 'berpantun' so much. =D

N of course, Jajah met the girlfriends, finally! Glad that we met. We did'nt have much time to really talk due to the games n everything but it's ok coz we gonna meet up again, soon! Cant wait to see u girls this easter. ;)

After the slumber mask party, Bee-aye made Roti John for breakfast! Lama sudah inda makan roti john. Sini ada satu jenis roti john saja. Nada Papa, Mama or Baby John. BNS roti John saja. Hehe. Thank u Bee-aye. Nyaman roti johnmu, Nachos mu juaa! Buatkan lagi nanti ahh. Oh n of course your teh tarik too. =P

Mask n Slumber Party

We had mask n slumber party for Deco n Nadz. Deco turned 21 on 12th March n Nadz's 21st bday is today. Since their bdays fall on weekdays so we made a belated party for deco, an advanced one for Nadz last Saturday night. Hope they had lots of fun that night.

After blowing the candles, Bob pinned a big 21 badge for Deco and Jajah put on for Nadz. Both of them were given same tasks before they can open their present. First, they must 'gelek'. Second, each chose one person and that person will do something to them. The 'THING' was slapping whipped cream on their face and third, go up n down with hands crossed touching the ears for 21 times. =D We watched movies later that night til morning.

Thanks to Jam for the cupcakes and Bee-Aye for Nachos! We had home-made lasagna, chicken, cocktail and ice cream too. To 24 Brighton, thanks for hosting and to all, thanks for coming and making the party one of the best parties.

Dry Slope Ski

Assalamualaikum

Went to Sunderland for dry ski slope lesson last weekend. The slope is made up of carpet representing snow. Payah rupanya skiing ani. Usul macam sanang, rupanya ada cara2nya yang mesti tani tau. Dangerous pulang tapi siukkk! Our instructor was a nice guy. Memang ada kesabaran utk melatih org yg baru belajar. Ia ajar sampai kami dapat.

Now that i know how to ski, i want to do it on real snow! Di mana bisai? Any suggestion? =D

Last Sunday was Rasulallah (S.A.W) birthday. Sempena hari keputeraan baginda, kami mengadakan majlis berdikir beramai-ramai dan berkongsi kisah Rasulallah (S.A.W) semasa hayat baginda. Thanks to 119 girls for hosting and also for the food.

NUFC vs MUFC

Assalamualaikum

Jajah liat Newcastle lawan Manchester last Wednesday.  Kami jalan kaki ke St James' Park. It took about 30 minutes from our place.  Most of us are Man U fans tapi ada sesetengah pihak yang inda sokong Man U mahupun Newcastle, oleh kerana Man U main malam atu n Newcastle home, durang sokong Newcastle utk pertama kali. Ceh. 

We reminded each other not to cheer when Man U score. Unfortunately, it didnt work, so, we were given the "look" ehe. Well..not really. Kena liat saja. Pkai baju Newcastle, tapi sorak utk Man u? Hmmm. 

Tempat duduk kami row kedua dri dpn sekali, 45 quids ticket. It was worth it (Man u wah tuu, n they won!) Kami bawa bendera Brunei, n since our seats were exactly at the corner, everytime there was a corner kick at our side, kmi kibar bendera. Haha. Anyone saw us on tv? =D 

We, the Man U fans, got freak out when Ncl scored on the 9th minute! They said "pacah record van der sar" O well..yg penting, Man U won that night! Hehe.Actually, i wanted to be neutral since lama sudah inda liat bola for straight 90 minutes. But i guess, it's still in me. I was so excited n a bit emotional that night. Hehe. 

It was awesome,serious. The cheering and all were just so astonishing. I couldnt believe myself that i watched the premier league, well at least Man U played for real. And saw Ronaldo with my own eyes. =D Definitely, a wonderful experienced for me.
